Contrails are largely ice, and therefore can only exist at the low temperatures of very high altitudes -- usually above 25,000 feet in temperate zones. 'CHEMTRAILS', observed from a distance, initially appear to be normal contrails. However, chemtrails do not quickly evaporate; instead they linger in the air, disperse widely and form a greyish, streaky cloud-like cover which can last all day. Chemtrails make a mess of our skies. Chemtrails do not evaporate because they are not ice, but are solid, particulate matter, and are sprayed from either nozzles along the wings' edges, or from the tailplane.
